Bonding
“We have a class and club called Hope squad that helps our students with mental health and wellness”
Billy P. (Churchill County High School)
“What we do in hope squad is we show that you can talk to people if you need help and showing your life matters”
Avianna (Wells High School)
“Each class in our school has a designated color and assignment section in the gym for assemblies. The last assembly of the year we set up rows of chairs on the gym floor. When the students come in they seat in their original sections. After the anthem the seniors move to the chairs and everyone moves up”
McKinlee S. (Dayton High School)
“I feel like councils should have frequent bonding where they just hangout together and it doesn’t have to be at school because it would feel like they would have to stay professional and we want members to be able to connect ”
Keyla M. (East Tech)
“For February, our council will be having an elementary style class party. Where each student brings in “valentines” to distribute to their peers. We will also have a potluck during that time, bringing back joy and nostalgia”
Dasha P. (Hug High School)
“A great idea to strengthen a bond within your council is heading outdoors and being put through an adventure or challenge together. Having a strong bond within your council serves a great purpose throughout student council members but also throughout the student body as a whole. ”
Cristina G.M. (CSN High School East)
